I love how gnomes can bring narrative to a garden and inspire imagination sure, they're watching over the flowers during the day, but who's to say what they get up to at night? Gnomes also remind me of several stories that I loved when I was a kid, like Snow White and the Seven

My vision with this piece was to print the entire image on 3 different species of wood

Much like The Night Owls piece from the same time last year

I've also been thinking a lot lately about how beautiful it must have been to have seen them hundreds of years ago before Boulder was settled

When you view them from a distance

Don't let the title fool you

and dove off the deep end with my own patterns within
