Knockando 1977-1991
Description
Knockando 1977-1991Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky Distillery Bottling 70cl 40% The 1977 12yo offers an interesting gap bridging window onto the evolving style of Knockando (and indeed much of Scottish whisky production) at the time. Green, waxy and lightly mineral it is also noted for its more greatly accented malty, cereal and buttery aspects. A transitional style of malt that shows how the production changes of the era were starting to be felt in the distillate
are harmonised in the most perfectly constructed symphony orchestra
Loads of classic Bruichladdich sea air and soft green fruit character
Distilled at Lochside distillery in the 1960s this is light but has much more character than the usual grain
These old Dallas Dhus were big drams full of fruits
with the smallest hint of ripped mint in the background
Tomatin Sestante bottled by Gordon & McPhail was distilled in 1970 and matured for 15 years then bottled in 1985
Bottled by: Hunter Laing - Old Malt Cask 70cl / 50
we think this was the first Book of Kells Mortlach from the company
Nose: Creamy coffee aromas with vanilla and hazelnuts
From this batch
Jim Beam Devil's Cut is a Distinctly Bold Bourbon
this was designed to be a very classic expression of Ardbeg
