Antique Painting | Madonna & ChildLovely, wonderfully timeworn turn of the century antique painting of the Madonna & Child. It looks like its probably a study and has a good deal of wear. The canvas has been glued around the edges & a tear repaired. Very nice for that abandoned Victorian mansion look. Measures about 24. 5 x 18.

They were briefly popular during the 1850s-1860s before being superseded by the even cheaper but sturdier tintype

Condition is very good with just some minor edgewear
