Turkana Bowl 125Our collection of vintage Turkana bowls are one of our favourites. This bowl is part of an extremely special collection which took 8 years to curate. Each bowl has been hand carved from indigenous wood by women of the Turkana community in Kenya. Turkana bowls are known for their distinctive and unique shapes as well as their beautiful carving details, showcasing the artisanal wood working skills of the Turkana people. Whilst our Zulu pots have been carefully restored
Our Khaki Fever cushion is made with a linen blend textile in beautiful neutral hue and finished with a detailed stitched pattern and brown horn beads
The jug has natural imperfections and has developed a rich patina and wear over time
this pot was originally used for storage and cooking by the Tonga people of Zimbabwe
These containers would have originally been used to collect milk and to carry food
Dogon masks have large geometric eyes and stylised features
The wood has rich and warm pantina hues
We love this collection for its blend of new and old
Each handle would be intricately carved with unique designs as they are thought to hold talismanic powers and bring good luck
