1880 Exhibition Building Drawing - Ground LevelA beautiful drawing from 1880 of the Exhibition Building in Melbourne, drawn by the architect, Joseph Reed. The building was constructed for the Melbourne International Exhibition of 1880. Reed also designed or was involved in the design of many other Melbourne icons, such as the current Melbourne Town Hall, and the State Library building. The builder was David Mitchell, who also constructed Melbourne's Scots' Church and St Patrick's Cathedral.

The building was completed in 1872 and the first Melbourne sovereign was minted on the 8th of July that year
