Rain Chain and bowlThrough her work, Kaihori explores the materiel nature of paintings and objects as a means to consider the ontology of things and spaces, responding to it as an interior space for the audiences experiences. The surface tension of the paintings attempts to bring the viewers attention to the surface of the work. This work was made during the residency at Driving Creek in Coromandel in 2024 the materials are from the site and fired in Barry Brickwell's
