This was made during the COVID lockdown when movement was restricted and a walk to the blackberry patch was a treat special to living in a semi rural environment of the Coal Valley in Tasmania This mosaic features a large section of smalti in mauve called a pizza section. I designed this one to be very minimalist - the rocks went well with the slice of custom tile and the hand made substrate tones made from excess adhesive gave me my colour scheme - it needed just a splash of red to go with the red dots on the tile
