Black American Dance Music From The Disco Era") was never heard. Recorded in 1976 with the finest Detroit session musicians, it pays lip service to the then current success of disco, but doesn't pander. Instead

"I was so happy when we got the original guys back together again to record what I consider to be one of the best AOR tracks ever" enthused Mann

It was later retroactively classified as the debut album by Portner and Lennox's group Animal Collective
