150cm Liljedahl Bamboo Cross-Country Ski Poles - Late 1960s - VM Staven - Orange Accents - Lightly Used!Beautiful pair of lightly used 150cm Liljedahl bamboo cross country ski poles. They were marketed as part of the "VM Staven" line ("verdensmestere staven" in Norwegian means "world champion ski pole"); the top of the line racing poles. Desirable orange accents grips, straps, labels, baskets. Wood shaft is in great condition. One of the plastic baskets has a slight break. See pictures. These would look great on display, or better, out on the trails!

Lorang Andersen was a Norwegian combined (jump and "running"/cross-country) skier from the 1930s

Skifabrikk has restored these poles to close to their "out the factory door" condition

I don't think any colour is more closely associated with a time period than orange is with the early 70s

This example has seen some use

but sold it to a fledgling German sports equipment maker
