Description

1790 Mourning PrintOfficially the oldest mourning print Ive had in the shop to date: This stunning black and white engraving dates to 1790 and depicts a mourner beside a funeral urn and weeping angel. I was able to date it to an early bible: Reverend Dr. Paul Wright's The Christians New And Complete British Family Bible. Copper plate engraving on thick, heavy rag paper. Lovingly conserved in a simple gilded wood frame. Refer to photos for size.
